JK Tax Service Inc has over 30 years of experience in accounting, payroll, and bookkeeping, assuring company books are in order, bills are paid in a timely manner, and taxes are filed on time.
Owner Judy K. Hanson, EA, has over 40 years of experience in banking, finance and account management. Judy is enrolled to practice before the IRS. Judy has been involved with the Tacoma Pierce County Chamber of Commerce, serving as Chairperson of the Westside Branch and several other non-profit organizations as well.
Located in the heart of University Place, JK Tax Service Inc has grown to a mid-sized business helping a variety of clients.
JUDY
Owner of JK Tax Service Inc, Judy has over 35 years of experience in tax preparation. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Judy spent time living in Eastern Washington assisting several ranchers and farmers with their bookkeeping and tax needs.
JAKE
Our office mascot is Jake, a Rottweiler/Bernese Mountain Dog mix. He was happily adopted in 2010 and has been a beloved member of our staff since. Jake is our official greeter as he is eager to see each client when they visit our office.
KRISTIE
Kristie specializes in Federal and State tax preparation, handling employee payroll, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchasing responsibilities along with reconciliation of accounts. She has been a member of the Washington State Tax Consultants since 2009 and the American Institute of Bookkeepers.
LAURA
Laura has earned an Associate of Science (AS) in Accounting and joined our staff in 2020. She started her career by working at a CPA firm in Astoria, Oregon in 1997. Since then, she has worked in multiple industries while holding several different positions.
JOHN
John was needing to make a lifestyle change and joined our staff in 2019. He completed over 16 hours of Federal tax preparation training. He specializes in helping administer our business client’s bookkeeping needs and payroll taxes.
MICHELE
Michele joined our staff in 2016. She provides information to the public, to our clients, and to our perspective clients inquiring about JK Tax Service Inc and helps to assure the office is well organized.
SUSAN
Susan has earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Accounting and has worked in accounting for over 15 years. Locally, she has been preparing tax returns since 1993. Upon her return to the Pacific Northwest, she re-pursued her love of tax and joined our staff in 2019.
COURTNEY
Courtney earned an Associate of Science(AS) in Accounting, cum laude, and joined our staff in 2020. She volunteered with the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA), an IRS grant program that assists members of the underserved population with free tax preparation. She has a passion for accounting and seeks to become an enrolled agent, expanding her knowledge even further.
